Concrete in Monroe County, Mississippi
Monroe County is the other half of our regular Mississippi route. Amory is the main town we work, with Aberdeen, Fulton and Smithville rounding out the rest of the market. The county sits along the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway and the Highway 278 corridor, and the concrete market here mixes residential, agricultural and small commercial work.
Amory is the most concentrated residential market in the county. Driveway replacements in the older neighborhoods, new-construction slabs on the growing edges of town, and a steady flow of stamped patio and back-walkway work. The newer subdivisions along the eastern and southern edges of Amory keep us busy with foundation work and garage-floor pours. Downtown and the central residential areas need continuous driveway and sidewalk replacement — original slabs that have outlived their useful life.
Aberdeen sits on the river side of the county and the work there leans toward in-town residential and small commercial. We pour driveways, patios, garage floors and front-walk work in Aberdeen's neighborhoods, and we handle the small commercial flatwork along the main corridors. Aberdeen also sees periodic restoration and repair work in its historic district, where careful demo and replacement matter.
Fulton is in northern Monroe County and leans more rural and ag. Long approach driveways, shop and barn pads, equipment slabs and the occasional new-build foundation. Smithville on the eastern end of the county shows a similar profile — rural residential, ag-related slabs and small in-town residential work.
Commercial work in Monroe County is concentrated along Highway 278 and the Tenn-Tom industrial properties on the river. Convenience stores, contractor yards, equipment dealers, small industrial pads and the occasional larger industrial slab. We coordinate with the GC, pour to spec and hit the schedule. Monroe County customers, like our Lee County customers, expect work that holds up — and we deliver it the same way we do at home in Alabama.
