Concrete in Lauderdale County, Alabama
Lauderdale County is the northwest corner of our service area. Florence is the population and commercial center, and the lake-side communities along Wilson Lake — Killen, Rogersville and the smaller lakefront pockets — make up most of the rest of the market. The drive from Haleyville is a little over an hour, but Lauderdale County has enough steady residential and commercial demand to make us part of our weekly route.
Florence is where the largest share of our Lauderdale work happens. The neighborhoods around the University of North Alabama see steady stamped-patio and stamped-walkway work — the market here has shifted strongly toward decorative concrete for outdoor living. New residential construction on the southern and eastern edges of Florence keeps us busy with foundation work, garage floors and back patios. Downtown and the older central neighborhoods need a continuous flow of driveway and sidewalk replacement.
Killen and Rogersville sit on the Wilson Lake side and the work there leans more toward lakefront and lake-adjacent residential. Stamped pool decks, lake-side patios, retaining walls on steep shoreline lots, and boat-ramp pads. A lot of this work needs a pump because the lots are narrow and the slopes are steep. Some of it needs shotcrete because conventional formwork isn't practical on the angles. We bring both pumps and shotcrete rigs and we do this kind of work weekly somewhere in our service area.
Lexington and the rural northern end of the county lean toward farm and rural-residential work — long approach driveways, shop and barn slabs, equipment pads. The work is steady rather than high-volume, and we cover it on the same route as the Killen and Rogersville lake jobs.
Commercial concrete in Lauderdale County is concentrated in Florence — small commercial buildings, retail outparcels, contractor yards, restaurant slabs and the occasional larger industrial pour. We coordinate with the GC, pour to spec, and hit the schedule. Lauderdale customers tend to want a contractor that shows up when promised, finishes clean and doesn't chase change-orders — that's exactly how we run.
